TRSB is seeking a Business Analyst – AI & Localization Workflows to support our innovation initiatives in AI-powered translation and localization processes. This role is critical in assessing and refining innovation proposals from operational teams, ensuring alignment with business needs, and driving the implementation of efficient, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution by understanding complex localization workflows, evaluating AI-driven solutions, and defining clear requirements for development teams.

Reports to: CTO

Your daily routine:

  • Assess Innovation Proposals: Evaluate and prioritize business and operational innovation requests, ensuring they address real challenges and deliver measurable benefits.
  • Define Business Problems: Work closely with stakeholders to identify pain points, define problem statements, and determine the target audience for each solution.
  • Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Develop detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to guide development teams.
  • Process Analysis & Optimization: Create detailed map of current localization workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend AI-driven improvements.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Product, and DevOPS teams to ensure alignment and feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • User Story & Acceptance Criteria Writing: Develop clear user stories and acceptance criteria to enable technical teams to deliver functional solutions.
  • Pilot & Rollout Support: Support the implementation, testing, and adoption of new AI-driven workflows within localization operations.
  • Measure Impact: Define success criteria and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.

You will need:

  • Experience in Localization & AI: 3+ years of experience in the localization industry, preferably with a language service provider/translation company, working with AI translation workflows, machine translation, and TMS platforms.
  • Technical Understanding: Strong grasp of localization technologies, AI-driven translation solutions, and workflow automation.
  • Business Analysis Expertise: Proven experience in business analysis, writing functional requirements, and translating business needs into actionable solutions.
  • User Story Development: Ability to write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Process Mapping & Optimization: Experience in process improvement, workflow design, and change management.
  • User Journey Mapping: Experience in user journey mapping, identifying pain points and flagging opportunities for improvements.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, drive consensus, and present solutions.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems and propose structured, data-driven solutions.

This position may be ideal for you if you have:

  • Experience with TMS platforms (e.g., XTM, memoQ, Phrase, Smartling, or similar)
  • Familiarity with AI/NLP technologies applied to localization
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence
  • A basic understanding of API integrations and automation scripting
